ABOUT US
Hydro-Morph Ltd is a small independent environmental consultancy established in 2017 by Jane Moon to provide geomorphological and water consultancy services.
Hydro-Morph specialises in the design and delivery of river restoration projects and brings a wealth of experience from across the UK with its cutting edge evaluation and design.
Clients include the Environment Agency, River Trusts, Water Authorities, Engineering Contractors, Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Local Developers, Planning Consultants and many small private clients.
Jane has particular expertise in hydro-morphology, river restoration and fish pass appraisal and design through to the construction phase. Jane is one of the few UK specialists to be actively engaged in the delivery of Stage Zero ‘valley floor’ restoration projects around the UK.
Jane closely monitors regulatory changes within the water environment and is often asked to provide expert advice nationally on geomorphological issues. Jane recently acted as an 'Expert Witness' in a river dispute, leading to a successful consensual resolution being achieved......"I want to take the opportunity to thank you for all your assistance with this matter, it was invaluable. It was a pleasure working with you."...Charlotte Razey, Senior Associate, Michelmores LLP.

Client: Wessex Chalk Stream & Rivers Trust
Catchment baseline survey, historic trends analysis and fluvial audit of 11km Ripley Brook in the New Forest. Recommendations for improving the WFD status of the waterbody and to reduce flood risk.
The fluvial audit provided the evidence base from which the second phase of the project was able to be funded. During the summer of 2018 many of the recommendations reported in the audit were acted upon, including, vegetation clearance; the installation of leaky dams to encourage floodplain reconnection and delivery of Natural Flood Management interventions to help alleviate some of the flood risk issues downstream.
